Technologist (Quality Services / Laboratory)
Job Location: Northamptonshire (commutable from Northampton, Brixworth, Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby etc.)
Job Salary: £20-24k Dependent upon experience, opportunities for progression

We are currently working with a well-known material testing company in Northamptonshire who are looking to hire someone from a Science or Qualiity background to start as soon as possible within their Quality Services department.

Job Duties:
As a Chemical Technologist you will be responsible for delivering audit and calibration services to customers worldwide. You will be responsible for communicating with customers and agreeing chemical testing programmes, planning and scheduling testing and reporting and discussing results to clients. After training, you will also deliver presentations and other face to face meetings, where for up to 20 weeks of the year you will be travelling around the UK and overseas.

• Calibration of test equipment
• Auditing laboratories
• Training laboratory staff and customers to use the quality systems
• Report writing and delivering certifications

Job Requirements:

• A degree in a Chemistry, Material Science or Forensic Science related subject is advantageous
• Working within a testing or quality control / assurance area would be highly desirable
• UK Driving License and be comfortable driving worldwide
• Excellent communication, social and organisational skills
• Be comfortable with a hands on role
