This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of BFS (Blow Fill Seal) Operations, where you will work as part of a team who dispense, manufacture, fill and pack product on high speed packing lines. The Sterile Specialist role follows a STEM Pathway Programme, offering a unique opportunity to work for a global pharmaceutical business whilst offering great scope for learning in the role.
Job Description:
- Plan, dispense, maintain, manufacture and fill sterile products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
- To perform routine maintenance during batch changeovers;
- To perform root cause analysis to minimise downtime;
- Set-up, operate, maintain, monitor, and improve packing equipment;
- To trouble shoot and resolve process issues in a quick and effective manner and to contribute to the achievement of site performance targets.
- To run the packing line and ensure all start-ups are in accordance with plan, use batch change sheets/ visual management boardsand perform suitable handovers for the oncoming shift;
- To control the line and complete online reviews;
- To be responsible for ensuring line settings are correct and provide continuous improvement to ensure they are complied with;
- To compile and chase downtime information and carry out trending of batch data ready for feedback at the daily meeting and link above information to KPI’s and continuous improvement where applicable.
- To plan and operate the production of sterile products in accordance with the customer service plan;
- To perform routine maintenance during batch changeovers;
- To perform root cause analysis to minimise downtime.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum Degree in a Science discipline or equivalent
- Previous experience of working within the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry although not essential.
- Good technical and problem solving skills.
- Good communicator, self-starter and team player with the ability to set and deliver high performance standards for self and team members relating to Customer Service, Quality, Safety and Cost.
- Ability to diagnose and rectify faults.
- Aptitude for data collection and analysis.
- Experience of setting and operating high speed automated packing equipment with frequent changeovers.
- Ability to deliver high performance standards.
- High attention to detail
