Scientific Technical Support Specialist
Job Location: Cambridge, East of England
Job Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 plus bonus

Our client, a leader in providing products for scientific research, is looking for a recent life science graduate with lab experience, or an MSc or PhD graduate to join their team in a Technical Support Specialist capacity.
They are looking for an articulate and technical minded scientific person who has a passion for sharing knowledge and troubleshooting problems. Someone who enjoys learning scientific products and services in depth, which excellent communication skills would do really well in this job.
Job Responsibilities:
The job will take responsibility for providing scientific technical support and building and maintaining relationships with customers. You will be responsible for engaging with customers relating to resolving pre- and post-sale technical enquiries.
- Responsible for all research, human blood and biospecimen quoting and support
- Working alongside the technical sales specialists
- Access and manage inbound pre- and post-sales technical support by phone and email
- Offer great customer service to customers and identifying and solving problems
- Having a great understanding of the human blood and biospecimen offering available
- Having a great understanding of the customer reagent services they offer including CRISPR/Cas9 cloning and cell, engineering etc.

Job Requirements:
- A 2:1 or above in a Life Science degree and a minimum of a years laboratory experience, or an MSc or PhD
- Strong technical competency and understanding, with the ability to learn new information and skills
- Great troubleshooting skills
- Passion for helping people and providing excellent customer service
- Good written and verbal communication skills
