We are currently working with a leading supplier of packaging solutions in Birmingham, who are looking for an experienced Reliability Technician in the reliability area of the Engineering department.

This role will concentrate on reliability and preventative maintenance, so they are looking for someone from an electrical engineering background with similar experience in industry.
Job Duties:
This role will see the hired candidate responsible for carrying out all preventative maintenance and reliability activities on various machinery and equipment and areas. Response to breakdowns that have an immediate effect on the plant safety will also be a focus, working towards a quick resolution. The candidate will be required to support, analyse and review regular preventative maintenance routines and tasks.
- Logging equipment defects and reporting abnormalities
- Using site process computer systems and SAP to evaluate plant performance
- Identifying areas for plant improvement
- Undertaking thermal imaging of mechanical and electrical systems
- Coordinate greasing requirements for all electric motors
- Supervise and coordinate activities of electrical and instrumentation contractors on shutdowns
- Provide on call assistance on a rota basis
Job Requirements:
- A technical degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience in a Technical Engineering related role (process driven environment is desirable)
- Computer and systems literate
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to organise workloads and problem solve
- A willingness to be trained and learn
