Job Salary: £25,000- £29,000 DOE with excellent benefits
Job Type: Full time, permanent. 8:00 - 4:30 Mon to Thurs, 8:00 - 2 Fri

The role:
The Quality Assurance Technician is a pivotal role in the smooth running of the lab and distillery as a whole. The primary responsibility is for the maintenance and upkeep of their GC/MSD instrumentation and the provision of analysis and method development.

  • Provide analytical expertise for method development
  • Maintain spirit laboratory methods and risk assessments
  • Establish analysis for key projects
  • Support and cover for the Microbiologist who has responsibility for HPLC instruments
  • Record and report routine analysis through Excel
  • Comply with expected SOP's fully meeting good analytical practice and health & safety


Job requirements:

  • Preferably a 2:1 or above in a chemistry or related science degree
  • At least 3 years' experience working with GC/MSD, GC and HPLC
  • Good analytical and data analysis skills
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
