We have an exciting job opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering graduate looking to work within project planning for a leading manufacturing company.


Our client specialises in the manufacture of plastic moulding and polymer products and offer the chance to progress a career within a challenging technical environment.


The role of Graduate Project Engineer is to assist with development stages for a wide range of projects and products, which will be overseen by the Technical/Engineering Manager. This will see the individual involved with and working with CAD, technical aspects, and overseeing that work produced is in with customer specifications in a fast-paced environment. The role will typically perform tasks such as scheduling and resource forecasting, making sure that projects are progressing as planned and costed and ensuring on time delivery to serial production. Liaising with department leads and supervisors on how their activities relate to the overall project to avoid any unnecessary delays. Working alongside the QA staff will also be required, to ensure the overall quality on any given project. You will get involved on the shop floor and be encouraged to bring new ideas and lead a continuous improvement culture.

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Familiarity with CAD drawings
  • Good level of IT, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
