This role will ensure that the company remains a market leader by analysing the performance of their scientific and engineering systems and their products. You will be providing a critical link between R&D and production in all phases of the product lifestyle. Data collection and analysis are at the heart of this role when looking at product performance.

Job Duties:

• Taking different measurements on microscopes
• Creating spectral spots and taking product response time measurements
• Stability and repeatability measurements
• Conducting detailed testing and analysis, including product lifetime
• Working alongside engineers to discuss production

Job Requirements

• An MSc / MPhys in Physics (or similar)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• An awareness of electronic and electrical systems, as well as geometrical optics
• Advanced knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, database connections and VBA
• Knowledge of microscopes and electrical test equipment is desirable, but not an essential
