Our client has an opportunity for a graduate able to provide technical support and Management of bespoke projects that support the business.
This could include R&D projects involving external consultants or analysing and reporting on data captured from the vessel e.g. fuel consumption or vessel behavioural patterns.
You will take ownership for certain vessel improvement projects including the recently implemented wave measuring system and ensuring maximum benefit is gained from the system and interact with key suppliers to ensure the systems installed are being used optimally and the data we obtained can be used to support Clients, market development and vessel optimisation.
Ultimately the role will assist those in the company to deliver their role more effectively when interacting with Clients and Stakeholders by providing a high degree of evidence based information.
The job is suited to a graduate of Mechanical or Marine Engineering graduate or a Graduate in Navel Architecture wanting to be involved in ships operations rather than design.
Job requirements for the Graduate Mechanical Support Engineer include:
- A BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Navel Architecture
- Evidence of being able to manage “project tasks”, including planning, researching, delivering and recording the results in a way that ensures the information is used. Initial support will be given however the ability to independently deliver will be key to the selection process.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels within the organisation and externally.
