Job Location: Runcorn (Commutable from Liverpool, Chester, Manchester, Wirral etc.)
Job Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 dependent upon experience

We are currently working with a leading company who specialise in the distribution and formulation of chemicals throughout the world. They are a busy open office with a friendly commercial team who welcome and develop graduate talent.
We are looking for a Graduate to join the Business Development team for our clients Water Treatment division. As a Business Development Manager, you will identify new products to grow the Water Treatment product range. The successful candidate will have a strong chemistry background and be looking to develop in a commercially focused role. You will be able to build relationships with ease and have excellent organisation skills. In this role, you will respond to customer tenders, complete monthly account management and finance reports for key customers, and account manage Industrial customers and Water Treatment accounts. This is role has the potential for the successful candidate to develop into Business Management position supporting and eventually covering for the Business Director
Job Duties:
- Job duties are varied and flexible and require excellent communication and organisational skills. Some of the main duties can be seen below.
- Monitor and research tenders from existing and potential customers.
- Maintain and build our clients "Tender Tool Kit" to provide high quality responses for tender questionnaires covering Quality, Safety, Compliance, CSR and Environmental.
- Work to tight deadlines to meet tender timelines.
- Research products and applications at Water Treatment facilities via accompanied sites and existing contacts to identify opportunities to expand the product range and supplier base.
- Complete and return monthly reports to key customers using Excel and internal systems.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts by maintaining telephone contact with key contacts.
- Respond to customer requests and develop growth opportunities where possible.
Job Requirements:
- A Degree or Master's in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics etc.
- Experience of working in a customer facing or communication-based role (retail, office, hospitality as examples)
- Excellent communication skills
- Top notch organisational and planning skills
- Strong Microsoft Office abilities (Word, Excel etc.)
- Driving license preferred
