Salary: up to £35K DOE

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside, North West

Job Overview:

Our client is an establish gambling and gaming company. They are expanding their Data Operations team and are seeking applications from candidates with experience of data analysis, data modelling (Kimball) and governance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Job Role:

The Data Operations team are responsible for managing ALL Operational data footprint for the company. The Data Operations team manage the availability, performance, efficiency, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of both on premises and cloud data estate. The company is currently going through a large operational data transformation programme, the successful candidate will play a key role in this programme of works.

Job Responsibilities

  • As a Data Operations Engineer you will work with enterprise-scale systems to help solve difficult problems, accelerate growth and add directly to the bottom line.
  • You will be responsible for delivering high-quality data outcomes via modern data sourcing, integration and modelling techniques, working as part of the Operational Data team.

Job day-to-day

  • Work within the Data Operations team to ensure data and its flow throughout the company is accurate and concise as possible
  • An active role in the delivery of operation data solutions and reporting throughout the company
  • Carry out work based on prioritisation of workloads from all areas of the business
  • Support compliance with GDPR data standards and data security procedures.
  • Work with Senior Data Operations Engineer & DBA to deliver complete data solutions
  • Work with third parties to ensure all data flow is as required (based on requirements from TFP Architect and other areas of the business)

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with data analysis, data modelling (Kimball) and governance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good skills in MS SQL & Postgres
  • Expertise using modern data tools (SQL, SSIS, Python)
  • Experience of SSRS & PowerBI
  • Azure experience (Data Lake, Data Factory, Data Bricks)
  • Exposure and Understanding of Data Warehouses
  • Exposure and Understanding of Cloud based environments - Azure
