We are currently working with a leading supplier of packaging solutions in Birmingham, who are looking for an Environmental or Science related graduate with relevant experience to join their team in a new and exciting Compliance Assistant job.

You will be involved with assisting the Compliance Health & Safety Manager with day to day duties in the department, and meeting health, safety, environmental and ISO 9001 compliance requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing management systems and driving the culture forward.

Job Duties:

• Analyse health, safety and environmental data to determine trends and future improvements
• Provide assistance with accident and incident investigations
• Conducting audits and reporting findings
• Data handling
• Liaising with external parties and contractors and facilitating their inductions
• Preparation of reports
• Deliver training with regards to Environmental, Health and Safety matters
• Developing safety campaigns
• Providing advice for Environmental, Health and Safety matters

Job Requirements:

• 2:1 or above in a relevant Science or Environmental related degree
• Experience in a compliance or SHEQ related role
• ISO 14001 experience or knowledge would be preferable
• Some work experience in a related industry would also be helpful, but not essential
• NEBOSH certification would also be an advantage, but not an essential
• A friendly persona, with the ability to talk to clients and take initiative where needed, who pays great attention to detail
