With an urban population of over 720,000 inhabitants, Nottingham is the largest city in the East Midlands region.

The city has a strong student community of around 34,000, although students from Nottingham Trent and the University of Nottingham don’t tend to integrate due to the distance between the two university campuses.

The University is ranked inside the UK’s top 25 both overall and for Computer Science related degree courses, with entry standards typically requiring AAA at A-Level or AAB if students attain an A grade in Computer Science.

Nottingham Trent University also offers a range of Computer Science and IT related degree and boasts a strong graduate employability record.

Job Opportunities

Graduate job opportunities in Nottingham are on the up. The city was ranked among the top 10 UK locations for economic growth in 2015 and is home to a growing tech cluster.

There are also government plans to invest £40m into a new technology incubator project in central Nottingham which is aimed at helping the city’s software industry to continue to grow over the coming years.
