Opening hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm, Friday 9am - 5pm.
STEM Graduates was established in 2014 and we remain the UK’s only graduate recruitment agency focussing exclusively on placing candidates from a STEM subject. Our clients include fast-growing tech start-ups, expanding engineering firms, scientific consultancies along with multi-national employers.
We list job opportunities for students and graduates from a Science, Technology (IT), Engineering or Mathematics related degree discipline. We believe that these candidates have a unique set of career needs that can only be met by a specialist within this field.
Our service is free for students and graduates. We charge employers a fee every time we introduce a candidate who is subsequently hired, or we charge a fee for listing a role on our site and receiving direct applicants.
The Team: Who we are…
STEM Graduates is privately owned and operates from offices within the Tempest Building in Liverpool. Our specialist recruitment consultants conduct candidate searches and screening tasks on behalf of graduate employers. Each consultant focusses on a narrow range of degree subjects, ensuring that they are subject experts and capable of providing valuable advice and support to their candidates and clients.
We are continuing to expand and would be delighted to chat with anyone who is based in the Liverpool area and would like to join STEM Graduates. It would be advantageous if applicants had recruitment or sales related experience, but this is not essential.
Our Clients: Companies who work with STEM Graduates…
Most of our assignments are with graduate employers who have an immediate role to fill that is full-time, salaried and requiring a graduate with a STEM degree. We work with many SMEs (small and medium sized employers) who find it hard to attract candidates. We can introduce job opportunities to potential candidates and conduct a thorough screening service so that hiring managers are presented with a shortlist of suitable applicants.
We also advertise graduate schemes with named employers who want to target current students. This is popular with larger organisations who want to receive direct applications and prefer to use our job board services.
Recruitment Year: When we work with students and graduates…
Our services focus on current students and recent graduates. First and second-year students may use our website to identify named internship and summer placement opportunities, or to begin researching potential careers. Prior to Christmas, most final-year students will use our website to find graduate schemes with named employers.
Students who have chosen to wait until Spring or Summer in their final-year will begin working with our specialist recruitment consultants. They will be introduced to employers with roles that they are looking to fill within the next two to three months. Our consultants remain in contact with job hunters who have completed their course and are able to introduce jobs to graduates with commercial experience.
Introducing STEM Women: Addressing gender diversity…
We know that many female STEM students are likely to be outnumbered on their course, particularly if they study an engineering or IT related discipline. This trend continues into industry and it is common for women to find it harder to build networks or relate to inspirational role-models.
Gender imbalance across universities courses has also resulted in issues for graduate employers, many of whom are seeking a diverse workforce. Engineering, finance and tech focussed companies must take positive action in order to ensure a more gender-balanced application rate.
To address these challenges, we have launched a specialist STEM Women service. We hold careers related events that bring together female students, inspirational speakers and graduate recruiters. You can find out more by visiting www.stemwomen.co.uk.
